MUST SEE - LA FERIA DE SEVILLE

Seville the Andalusian – Two weeks following Semana Santa, the capital of Andalusia reveals itself in all its fineries to celebrate Feria de Abril. In ancient times, it was little more than a cattle market, but through the years, the Feria has become one of the greatest popular festivities of Seville. The people of Seville celebrate the return of spring. The cattle trade has since been set aside; today, young girls and women of all ages parade in vibrant, colorful typical flamenco dresses. The Feria is also an occasion to admire brilliantly garbed riders astride their fine horses parading on the other bank of the Guadalquivir.
